LMI technology company launched an improved laser rangefinder

LMI technology company has launched an improved version of the new laser sensor used to determine the thickness and shape of the glass. The software features of this sensor is inside the sensor head, without the need for a separate controller, thereby reducing the operational cost of the instrument.

The company's FDAII level sight glass thickness sensor uses laser triangulation network, up the 2000 reading speed measuring 1. 5mm thick glass plate, as well as other flat glass 3. 0mm thick. Such sensors for thickness and distance online / offline measurement is ideal. Whether it is a fixed position, or the scanning mechanism, and can provide reliable, reproducible results in the quality control environment. The incident distance is 28mm and the measuring range is 4. 0mm.

To improve efficiency, the data collection and control software functions are integrated in the sensor head. The GTS2 laser rangefinder issues a laser beam to the glass to be measured into a 49-degree angle with the vertical line. Using a probe, singlet of the incident laser light from both surfaces of the reflection of the glass, and then projected back to the sensor of the probe, given thickness data. In addition to the thickness of the data can be drawn, GTS2 also measured the distance reached on the glass surface. This makes it possible to consistently accurate measurements, so that the position of the test surface measured thickness 0.00005 refractive recurrent possible. The accuracy is high.

The sensor uses the distance between the electrical coupling device singlet arranged to calculate the projection of the upper surface and the lower surface reflection. CCD (appliances coupled device) technology, the imaging can be filtered or other processing can be carried out, for precise positioning of the center of gravity of the both surfaces of the reflector. The CCD technique can also be difficult in sthe common harmful multi-point measuring glass applications, reflections and other stray light.

LASER is an acronym taken from the Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation of the first letter of each word. The name itself has been completely expressed manufacture laser process. There is a wide range of laser applications including laser marking, fiber-optic communications, laser spectroscopy, laser rangefinder, laser radar, laser cutting, laser weapons, CD, laser pointer, laser vision correction, laser beauty, laser scanning and so on. Since the 20th century, following the atomic energy, computers and semiconductors, laser is another major human invention.
