But again, the nature of the items will give you a better idea about which one to go for.
The horizontal container would be preferable for you if you intend to make the maximum use of the available space. It is usually shaped like a rectangular parallelepiped. So, it has a longer length and breadth but a smaller height. Thus, it will consume more floor area but you will be able to arrange things much more conveniently.
