by John Smith Digital Marketing Expert
Hotmail as well as Windows Live accounts deal with plenty of concepts that facilitate your receiving, opening and reading mail. People who are working with their Microsoft Network or MSN email accounts often need help when it comes to configuring their IMAP settings. If you need help with the same, you should read on. The Internet Message Access Protocol is the main protocol that is used to receive email and view it every time a message is received by you.

It can be easily configured by contacting the MSN technical support number and taking their help or applying a few simple steps. You can do it yourself by following the instructions given below.

1.Firstly, in order to configure these, you should already have an established Windows Live Hotmail account in place. If you do, you can go on to open the Properties dialog box.

2.Next you must “Sign in" by heading to Windows Live and simply entering your email address and password in the “Log in” section so that you’re signed in.

3.Once you have gained access, go on to pick "Tools" tab from the top of the toolbar and head to the "Accounts" section. In thins you can pick out the email address which you need to work with and click the "Properties" option for it.

4.It is there that you will see the "IMAP" tab, which you must click on and then sit back as you enter the "Inbox". Once you’re into the "Root folder path" field, select the box that is placed right next to the words that say "Check for new messages in all folders"; this will make sure that it is selected.

5.    Take a deep breath, because you’re almost done and then select the box that is right beside the "Store special folder on IMAP server" field. Once this is selected, you can go to the "Sent" box and see the "Sent Items Path" field.

6.    Finally, enter "Drafts" in the "Drafts path" box and enter "Trash" in the "Deleted Items path”. Then click "OK" which will tell you that you’re done before you close the dialog box.

You will have the Internet Message Access Protocol working properly on your system as soon as you have followed these steps. In case you seem to fact some sort of difficulty, you can go for the MSN support contact us option as they’re sure to help you with any Microsoft Network issue you might have.
