Application of our Ultrasound course

What is the process of ultrasound imaging? What exactly is an ultrasound scan? As you progress through the course syllabus, you will investigate these and other issues. You'll also look at current technological advancements and new possibilities in ultrasound imaging that may improve diagnostics.

Understand ultrasound imaging from three points of view.

Only when users have a thorough understanding of the underlying technology can ultrasound be performed correctly and improved. With that in mind, this free online course is organized around three major points of view:

  1. Medical perspective: In Week 1, we will look at the various applications of ultrasound imaging in medicine.

  2. From a technical standpoint, we will explain the underlying technology of ultrasound imaging in Weeks 2–4.

  3. Technical, medical perspective: In Weeks 5 and 6, we will use your newly acquired technical ultrasound background knowledge to create better images.

You'll be able to... by the end of the course.

  • Recognize and comprehend the versatile application of clinical ultrasound imaging

  • Explain how ultrasound is used to create medical images.

  • Use ultrasound technical background knowledge to improve patient care.

Our Ultrasound courses is designed for anyone interested in ultrasound imaging, its technological foundation, and its clinical applications. This course may benefit medical students and professionals working with ultrasound who want to improve their fundamental understanding of ultrasound.

This course will also be helpful for those interested in becoming a radiologist, nurses, or other healthcare professionals. It would also be beneficial for students or prospective students considering a specialization and wanting to learn more about ultrasound techniques and practice.
