In the modern world, technological advancements are being made faster than ever before. We can see how quickly the size, thickness, and weight of gadgets have gone down significantly with every year. Moreover, they have become affordable and because of that, we are slowly becoming dependent on them for our day-to-day work. While smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches are becoming commonplace, laptops have persevered and remained relevant. It doesn’t seem likely that tablets or smartphones will replace them anytime soon. When it comes to editing photos, video editing, writing emails, composing documents, most people prefer to use their laptops despite the presence of some really good tablets that can handle all the above tasks with ease.

Just like any other gadget, laptops have evolved with time which is why it is tough to replace them anytime soon. They have become more efficient, powerful, and slimmer. When one thinks of buying a new laptop it is not surprising that the diversity of options can be overwhelming. But fortunately, there is an easy way to tell the difference between good laptops and the best ones. The best laptops in the market are always those that balance efficiency, power, comfort, and portability. Their display is bright, easy on the eye, and sharp enough to engage the user while the keyboard and trackpad are fantastic. With these factors in mind today we look at some of the best laptops you can get in 2021.

MacBook Air

The late-2020 MacBook Air starts at $999 and comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The laptop is powered by Apple’s M1 processor and comes with a 2560×1600 screen. The laptop looks quite similar to the Intel-powered MacBook Air that was launched recently. It comes with a 720p webcam which is rare while the fingerprint sensor ensures that the user data is safe and secure. But the most impressive thing about this MacBook Air is its processor. It can handle video-editing and intense photo-editing much better than most Intel-powered laptops.

Although it is not a gaming laptop it can still handle games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider without any glitch, which is impressive considering the MacBook comes with integrated graphics. However, the good processing power did not put much pressure on the battery life. One can easily get eight to twelve hours of sustained work while using this device which is why it is such a great machine to have.

HP Envy X360

When it comes to the best budget laptops it is tough to think of one that can compete with HP Envy X360. The 88 percent screen-to-body ratio gives the laptop the bezel-free look that a lot of people these days want. The touchscreen works like a charm. However, the most impressive feature of HP Envy X360 is that it is powered by AMD’s Ryzen 4000 series. The processor handles multitasking with ease and one can use it for heavy tasks like video editing and gaming. The graphics deliver impressive gaming performance and one can rely on them to run some decent games. The laptop costs only $650 only which is way cheaper than most laptops on this list.

Dell XPS 13 2-in-1

When it comes to convertible laptops no laptop is better than Dell XPS 13 2-in-1. The laptop comes with the latest Intel 11th Gen processor and a bezel-free display that gives it an ideal look. The base model that comes with 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a 1920×1200 display costs $1,099. There are various upgrades to choose from and one can easily customize it according to needs. Although it’s not a gaming laptop one can still play several games on it which is surprising considering the laptop uses Intel’s integrated graphics. The limited port selection and flat keyboard might be off-putting for some people but other than that the convertible laptop is fantastic.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14

Zephyrus G14 is a powerful gaming laptop with a 120Hz display. It comes with AMD’s Ryzen 9 4900HS along with Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU. The laptop can run heavy games with the highest settings without any glitch. Despite being a powerful gaming laptop, it weighs just over 3.5 pounds which is impressive considering most gaming laptops are much heavier. The long battery life lasts over 9 hours and is also impressive for a gaming rig. Even though it is a gaming laptop Zephyrus G14 can be used as a notebook for business and everyday multitasking. The laptop is a bit expensive and costs over $1,400.

MacBook Pro 13

The late-2020 MacBook Pro is a great machine for people looking for a laptop that can be used for heavier workloads. Although the MacBook Air and the Pro have the same processors the latter has a few extra features like the Touch Bar. The Pro version comes with a fan which helps it in working for long hours while the Air struggles because of its fan-less design. One can run the heaviest software without any glitch. MacBook Pro is without a doubt one of the best laptops you can get.

Although there are several other laptops which are good the ones mentioned above are better than most laptops you can get. All of them have very few flaws and come with the best processors, display, touchpad, etc. Most of them are priced decently considering the features that they offer. So, if you are considering buying a laptop, you should consider picking one of them.
