Srinagar tourism authorities celebrate the Kashmir Tulip Festival in the month of April to celebrate the onset of tourists in the Tulip Garden. The garden becomes a hub of tourists on the day of the festival due to its decorated stalls, music events, cultural shows and food stalls.
Best time to visit the Kashmir Tulip Garden
The garden blooms in spring and is not open for tourist visits year-round. Spring visits Srinagar at its prime in the months of March and early April. The garden is accessible for tourists visits in these months only. Especially, from the first week of April to the third week, the garden is considered at its best and hence, it would be the best time to visit.
In these months, the Kashmir Tulip Festival is held in the garden which brings with it all nature enthusiasts and a beautiful get-together of flower lovers.
What time to visit?
The garden is open for tourists from 7 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. every day of the week in the visiting season. Most footfall is from 12 noon to 6 P.M. You have to buy an entry ticket for 50 rs for adults and 25 rs for children.
How to reach?
Kashmir's Tulip Garden is located at a distance of 18 km from the Srinagar international airport and 17 km from the Srinagar Railway station. If you are traveling by road, the garden is 8 km away from Lal Chowk in Kashmir.
The garden is accessible from Lal Chowk by bus which charges a 10-rupee fare from each passenger and drops you off at the Boulevard Road bus stop from where the tulip garden is at 900 mt.
You can also hire a taxi from Lal Chowk to get to the Garden. The garden is surrounded by other tourist attractions like Cheshma Shahi, Nishat Bagh, Botanical Garden and Zabarwan garden and hence, these places can also be visited along with the Kashmir Tulip Garden.
Tulip Garden visit is a must garden in all of the Srinagar Tour Packages.
