India, with its 29 states to fill it up, is a jar full of beauty and ethnicity. Every state is unique in its own way. Nothing can be less beautiful in the place from where the country starts. That is the topmost state. Jammu and Kashmir. This state is all about the beauty of nature. Jammu is a major city of the state. A peculiar characteristic of this state is that it has 2 capitals, changing on the basis of the seasons, summers and winters. Jammu is the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, situated on the banks of Tawi river.

This place of fairy tales has numerous places to go to and explore. Tourism is one of the biggest industries of Jammu. Why wouldn’t it be, the city is the epitome of natural beauty. One of the main reasons for the people to visit Jammu is to visit an extremely famous Hindu pilgrim site, that is, Vaishno Devi Temple. It is like the gathering point for the pilgrims before they actually start trekking for the temple. Its piousness is such that people come to visit and pay their homage from all around the globe. Hotels in Jammu have been playing a major role to support the tourism, for its one of the most important industries of the city. There is a huge widespread of hotels of all ranges of tariffs, all over the city. A tourist ends up with a lot of good choices and is never disappointed with any.

Other reasons for which Jammu is famous for are, Raghunath temple, Amar Mahal Palace, Dogra Art Museum, Ranbireshwar Temple, Mubarak Mandi Palace, and many more places. The Raghunath Temple is one of the most famous temples of North India. The whole complex is huge. There are seven shrines in the temple. The seven shrines have separate towers for each one of them. This temple is the house to many epic and unique Sanskrit scriptures. It was built dedicated to one of the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu, that is, Rama. Dogra has been one of the most significant clans of Jammu. To go through their artifacts and traditional ethics from the yesteryears, the Dogra Art Museum is the perfect place to go to. The Ranbireshwar temple has its own story of magnetism. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, consisting of a Linga of 8 ft height, made of stone!

The city is accessible through both, trains and flights. Airways surely save time. The hotels near Jammu airport are quite a catch, and one need not bother to go around the city to find a good one. In the end, Jammu is a place of serene beauty with the best of the means to explore it to the fullest.
