Indian Web Series Industry has grown a lot in the past few years. With realistic storylines, relatable characters, and fresh faces in the lead roles, it has become widely popular among the audience that has become bored with the typical daily soaps on TV or ridiculous Bollywood films.

Web Series have given a platform to fresh faces and new actors. They may have a background in acting, but these web series have made them extremely popular and well known, especially among the younger crowd.

Here’s a list of 7 actors who are loved by the fans and gained popularity through the web series they have acted in:

Sumeet Vyas:

Sumeet Vyas, who has played small and supporting roles in Television shows, Bollywood films and short films, finally gained his fame from the role he played in the web series Permanent Roommates by The Viral Fever, alongside Nidhi Singh, another actress who gained her popularity through web series.
After Permanent Roommates, he was also one of the leads in another TVF web series, Tripling, alongside Maanvi Gagroo and Amol Parashar.

Nidhi Singh:

Nidhi Singh gained popularity from her role in Permanent Roommates, playing the lead character alongside Sumeet Vyas. After Permanent Roommates, she went on to play roles in Every Delhi Girl In The World, Man’s World, and Humorously Yours.
After her digital space ventures, she went on to the silver screen, starring in the film Dil Juunglee, alongside Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem. Her next film, Brij Mohan Amar Rahe is in the post production phase.

Maanvi Gagroo:

Maanvi Gagroo who debuted in Disney’s Dhoom Machao Dhoom, and played minor roles in No One Killed Jessica and PK, had her life changed when she shot to fame in TVF’s Pitchers, playing the only important female character in the show which otherwise followed the journey of four young men. Later, she also played the main character of the sister in TVF’s another, called Tripling, alongside other popular web series actors, Sumeet Vyas and Amol Parashar.

Amol Parashar:

Amol Parashar who has played roles in films like Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year and Traffic, was noticed by many when he entered the web series industry with his digital debut in TVF’s Tripling, alongside Sumeet Vyas and Maanvi Gagroo.
After Tripling, he continued his web journey with his roles in TVF’s Bisht Please and Viu’s It Happened In Hong Kong.

Angira Dhar:

Angira Dhar, who initially appeared on the screen in UTV Bindaas’ popular show Beg Borrow Steal as an anchor and also acted in several advertisements, made her web series debut in Bang Baaja Baaraat, starring alongside Ali Fazal. The show was so popular that it returned for a second season, where she reprised her role.

Naveen Kasturia:

Naveen Kasturia, who entered the film industry as an assistant director in Jashnn and Shanghai, made his digital debut in The Viral Fever’s Pitchers. After Pitchers, he was seen in the web series Man’s World. He also played roles in the series Bose: Dead or Alive and Social.
He was also a part of the short films Interior Café Night, Pure Veg, and Half Ticket.

Nidhi Bisht:

Nidhi Bisht, known as the best writer in TVF, was first spotted in TVF’s Pitchers and Permanent Roommates. Later, she went on to play the lead role in the web series by TVF called Bisht, Please! She also debuted in the film Phillauri, which stars Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh.
