HOW TO REPAIR SAMSUNG TV?

by TM Maria Be a king in your own kingdom

This is very common in technicians without discarding methods, the first thing they want to do is change parts and that the machine works if or yes, but the big problem is when the fault is not really found.

You do not know if the piece you changed is really going to work, as in this case.

Always in all my post I try to teach that the best way to solve an electronic failure is to test each component and discard with an instrument, measuring voltages and the malfunction of each stage.

We proceed to continue reviewing the source step by step, I attach images so they can appreciate and compare.

After reviewing the chassis for half an hour, we got the surprise that there was an open resistance, in the image below I show the resistance to which I refer, marked with the red arrow.

In the image where the resistance is, you may notice that it has a small dot like a splash, that's where the resistance was opened.

This not only happens to him, but to many whom I tell them that if they have already located where the fault lies, focus their attention there to be able to solve the fault.

Many times you can face the problem, but if your mind is closed, you will never see it.

This same method or way of discarding what we can do in any brand of TV, whether it is a Plasma, LCD, LED, Smart, and all works.

FAULT IN TV POWER SUPPLY

This is the resistance causing the failure, as I mentioned earlier you can see there is a black dot at the top of the resistance.

When I measured it with a multitester, it was completely open, that is, it did not mark anything at all.

This resistance so that you can read its colors (brown, violet, orange, and tolerance of + -5%) is a 17K resistor.

The other advice I give to my friends who consult me, is to tell them that when they repair a TV that they try it with a transformer to reduce the energy halfway because if it has a small fault it is possible that we sharpen the flaws of this TV.

We proceeded to change this resistance which is 18K ohms to 1 watt, which goes in series with a resistance of 35K ohms at 1 Watt.

If we do not find this resistance of 18K we can place 2 in series that added 18K.

Measurement of a Samsung card after changing the resistance we connect it as always to the transformer (only for areas where the energy is 220vac), and check the voltages, the red arrow shows the tip of the multitester connected to ground.

The yellow arrow indicates the + B that feeds the flayback marked with the yellow circle.

The multitester registers 120vdc, indicating that it is perfect, to be more secure we can place in the + B a focus (bulb) of 50w.

As we can see in the image below, the LED indicator has already been turned on, in this way the card of our friend Jaime was solved.

This remains as a teaching that if we already locate where the fault lies, we should only focus our effort on that point since there must be a bad or devalued component.

In the following link I explain in a didactic way the way of making a basic measurement to a TV that does not turn on. It is not the same brand and model, but it will serve because it is the principle for any repair. And if you don’t want to take any risk, call a service for TV repair nearby.
