How to Remove Fuel Supply Pump for ISUZU N Series Truck 4JJ1

This instruction show you guide on how to remove fuel supply pump for ISUZU N series Euro 4 4JJ1 engine truck.

Preparations:

ISUZU Diagnostic Kit Adapters

ISUZU G-IDSS Diagnostic Software

ISUZU E-IDSS Diagnostic Software

Procedures:
Including the inside of the injector, the holes and gaps that are the fuel paths for the fuel system have anextremely precise finish. Therefore, because there is the possibility of damage if foreign material becomes mixed in, cover the cap after removing parts, etc. to prevent the entry of foreign material.


Removal
1. Extract the coolant.
2. Remove the air intake duct and hose.
· Remove the boost sensor connector(1) and harness clip, and then remove the air intake duct together with the hose.

3. Remove the engine cover.
· Remove the PCV hose from the air cleaner outlet duct.
· Remove the oil fller cap, and remove the engine cover.
4. Remove the A/C compressor drive belt.
5. Disconnect the radiator upper hose.
6. Remove the air duct(air cleaner-turbocharger air duct).
7. Remove the left side noise cover.
·Disconnect the harness connector of the dropping register, and remove the noise cover.
8. Remove the A/C compressor.
· Remove the harness connector from the A/C compressor.
· Remove the compressor from the A/C compressor bracket. Fasten to any suitable position with a wire along with the hoses.
9. Remove the A/C compressor bracket.
10. Remove the left side fan guide bracket(1).
11. Remove the engine oil level gauge guide tube.
12. Remove the leak-off pipe(1).
13. Remove the fuel feed pipe(1).
NOTE: Do not reuse the fuel feed pipe
14. Remove the fuel hose(1).
· Keep the disconnected fuel hose in clean, so that should not adhere.
15. Remove the sleeve nut(1) of the injection pipe from the common rail.
NOTE: Do not reuse the injection pipe
16.Remove the common rail and the common rail bracket.
NOTE:
·Hold the common rail unit not the pressure limiter or pressure sensor.
·Be careful not to damage the pressure sensor connector.
17. Disconnect the injector harness connector(2) and leak-off hose(1).
18.Remove the cylinder head cover.
·Remove the vacuum sensor bracket and the EVRV bracket from the cylinder head cover.
NOTE: Do not damage the lip section of the oil seal with the connector of the injector.
19.Remove the A/C compressor adjust pulley.
20. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector(1) and the engine coolant temperature sensor connector(2).
Legend
1. Upper timing chain cover2. Lower timing chain cover
22. Rotate the crankshaft in the forward direction to align the first cylinder piston to the compression top dead center.
· Check the TDC alignment position using a mirror, etc.
23. Confirm that the camshaft bearing cap is aligned with the alignment position of the camshaft(1).
