How to Remove Cylinder Head for ISUZU N Series

Procedures:

1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the generator.
Refer to "Generator"in Section 1E, Engine Electrical.
3. Remove the turbocharger assembly.
Refer to "Turbocharger Assembly"in Section 1J, Induction.
4. Remove the EGR cooler.

1F, Emission control.
5. Remove the water inlet upper pipe.
6. Disconnect the boost sensor connector(1) and harness clip.
7.Disconnect the air intake duct and hose between intercooler and intake throttle.
·Remove the pipe with hose assembled.
8. Remove the left side noise cover.
9. Disconnect the radiator upper hose.
10. Remove the A/C compressor drive belt.
11. Disconnect the A/C compressor.
· Disconnect the A/C compressor harness connector, remove the compressor from the A/
C compressor bracket, and fasten to any suitable position together with the hoses using a wire, etc.
12. Remove the A/C compressor bracket.
13.Remove the A/C compressor adjust pulley.
14.Remove the cylinder head cover.
Refer to "Cylinder Head Cover"in this Section.
15.Remove the engine oil level gauge tube.
16.Remove the injection pipes No.1 to 4.
17. Remove the heater hose.
· Remove the heater hose between the inlet manifold and cylinder block at the block side.
18. Remove the fan guide bracket(right side).
19. Disconnect the camshat position sensor connector(1) and the engine coolant temperature sensor connector(2).
20. Remove the timing chain cover.
a. Remove the lower cover(2).b. Remove the upper cover(1).
21. Remove the fuel injector.
Refer to "Injector"in Section 1D, Engine Fuel.
22. Remove the glow plug connector.
23. Remove the glow plugs.
