HOW TO REGISTER FOR IIT JEE-MAIN2019 COUNSELLING?

Joint Seat Allocation Authority is the organizing body for the JEE Main Counselling. The candidates who are appearing in the examination will be able to sit in the counseling procedure being carried out by the JoSAA. For the complete counseling procedure, the candidate is required to register themselves through JoSAA Registration 2019. The candidates who excel in the JEE Main and JEE Advanced will be eligible for the counselling procedure based on their rankings. Eligibility Criteria for the Registration:

The counselling has two variants. The candidates who are appearing in JEE Advanced they go for the admissions in IIT. The candidates who appear in JEE Main are only able to apply for NITs+. Lets see what are the eligible criteria for the JoSAA 2019.

For admissions in Indian Institute of Technology

The candidates aspiring for the JEE Advanced will be eligible for the for the admissions in IITs. It is necessary that the candidates appearing in the examination clear the cut off rank to be able to secure their seats in IITs. If the candidate has not appeared in the JEE Advanced, they will not be able to appear for the counseling for IIT.

For admissions in NITs+

The candidates would be able to appear for the counseling for National Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Information & Techonolgy, and Government Funded Technical Institutes if they have appeared for the JEE Main 2019 examination. The candidate do not necessarily have to appear for the JEE Advanced.

Registration Process for the counselling.

The registration process for the JoSAA Counselling will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority. The candidates would be able to visit the official website of Joint Seat Allocation Authority and register themselves for the counselling procedure. Visit the official website of JoSAA.
Click on the Candidate’s Portal.
Through your JEE Main login details log onto the JoSAA portal.
Submit all the necessary details on the Registration Forms.
Choose in your choices and save.

Choosing and Locking of Choices

The candidates would have to set preferences for the choices they have submitted for the counselling procedure. The choices can be changed and saved till the last date of the registration. Once the registration is completed the choices can be set. The candidates should arrange their choices based on their preference for the admission in the college.

Modification of registration

Only till the last date of registration, the candidates can go for any changes in preferences or modifications in their registration. Once the last date is passed the choices would be locked and cannot be changed,
