  • Use a grout float only to apply grout between tiles. This is the best tool for grout and it allows you to fill tile joints completely and save plenty of your time.
  • There are two types of grout floats available. One for floor tiles and another one for wall tiles. The rubber pads on wall tile grout float are softer than those on floor tile grout float. Choose your grout float accordingly.
  • You have to move the float diagonally over tile joints. This way, you zero down the chances of float edge pulling the grout out of the joint.
  • You have to hold the float at 30-to-45-degree angle while applying grout into grout joints. This will allow you to scoop the joints completely. Apparently, holding grout float at higher angles can pull out the grout from the joints.
  • Remove excess grout from tile joints a few minutes after applying with the help same float.
  • After application, wipe excess grout off the tile surface. Do not leave grout on the tile surface for long, as it will turn harder and become difficult to remove. This will help you remove grout haze from your tiled floor and wall. Though, there are grout haze removing solutions present in the market.
