How to Fix iOS 13 Battery Life on iOS Devices

Battery plays a prominent role in every electronic equipment, and thus their battery life and health matters a lot. Facing quick battery drainage and even decreased battery life span usually occurs after updating to a new version of iOS 13. If you are one of them who thinks that your device’s battery is performing worse, then this article is for you.

Here we are providing some troubleshooting steps to improve your battery performance.

1. Checking the Battery Health and Performance

  1. First and foremost, launch “Settings.”
  2. Then, you have to select the “Battery” tab there.
  3. Now, tap on “Battery Health.”
  4. Check your battery if it is performing as usual; if not, then it might need to be replaced for better performance. Before replacing your battery, it is recommended to follow the next steps, as these will help you a lot to resolve your issues.

2. Deactivating “Background Applications Refresh” Feature on Your Smartphone

  1. First of all, launch the “Settings” application.
  2. Then tap on the “General” tab.
  3. After that, you have to select the “Background App Refresh” option and then toggle to the “OFF” mode.

Note: Deactivating the feature “Background App Refresh” is an easy way to improve battery performance and even its life on iOS devices.

3. Reducing Screen Brightness

If you set the display brightness to and around one hundred percent, then it may affect your battery too.

If you wish to save your battery percentage, then follow these instructions:

  1. First of all, launch “Settings” applications.
  2. After that, navigate to the option “Display and Brightness.”
  3. Now, set your brightness to the compatible lower level so that you can see the contents on your display smoothly.

4. Turning Off “Raise to Wake” and “Tap to Wake” Features

If you are walking or taking a jog having your smartphone in your hand, then you may deactivate “Tap to wake” and “Raise to Wake” features accordingly.

Follow these steps to do the same:

  1. First of all, launch “Settings.”
  2. After that, navigate to the option “Display and Brightness.”
  3. Then, search for the “Raise to Wake” feature.
  4. After getting it, deactivate it by turning it off.

Note: in case you wish to turn the feature to “ON,” then apply the above points and then toggle to “ON.”

5. Running Your Phone on “Low Power” mode

Low energy mode will make your smartphone to perform actions on low light along with consuming a little amount of energy. It saves power and thus helps in prolonging your device’s battery life as well.

If you wish to run your smartphone in reduced energy mode, then follow these instructions:

  1. Firstly, launch “Settings.”
  2. After that, navigate to the “Battery” option.
  3. Then, turn the feature “Low Power Mode” to “ON.”

Note: In the reduced energy mode, your iPhone will display the battery icon in “Yellow.” to notify you.

6. Downloading New Available Updates

Updating the latest updates troubleshoots various issues related to viruses and bugs. Now, iOS 13 has come out with its followed edition of iOS 13.1. You have to install every upcoming update on your phones.

It will give you two benefits:

  • Removes bugs
  • Improves battery performance

You can check that if any latest update is available on your device or not by the following ways:

  1. Firstly, hit the “Settings” application.
  2. After that, navigate to “General” and then hit it.
  3. Now, tap on the “Software Update” option there.
  4. Then, it will show you the available update, if any.

You can also update your existing iPhone applications by the following ways:

  1. Navigate to the “App Store.”
  2. After that, tap on your profile icon located somewhere at the topmost edge of the screen.
  3. Finally, hit the “Updates’ option.
