The first major international event after the 1958 Moroccan Grand Prix was held on the 3rd of May, 2009 at the Marrakech Street Circuit. Another exciting event that mainly attracts golfers from different parts of the world is the Marrakech Golf Festival. Many of the amateur golfers of all ages participate in this golf festival, which includes several competitive rounds.
