The problem is, in order to be able to make that difference, you need to make sure that you have clients. And in order to have clients, there’s no way around it, you have to make a sale.
If you don’t, you aren’t able to share your gifts and you aren’t able to make the difference you were meant to. You may even start to think “Maybe what I have to offer isn’t that great after all….”
This is something that I see happen all too often for service-based entrepreneurs. You have a huge heart and truly want to be of service but if you can’t sell your services then you can’t keep the lights on.
Worst case, you give up on your dream of making a living by making a difference.
Even with a couple of decades of sales experience under my belt, I too struggled with how to offer my services and bring clients into my own business. So, I can imagine what it must be like for you!
