How to disable the ability to install apps or games on your iOS 11 or older iPhone and iPad


1.    Go to 'Settings' on your iOS device.

2.    Go to 'General.'

3.    Go to the 'Restrictions' section.

4.    Provide your passcode.

5.    Look for the 'Installing Apps' switch.

6.    Tap and turn off the button of Installing Apps.


When the installing apps switch turns to grey, the ability to install apps and games will block.


How to disable the ability to install apps or games on your iOS 12 iPhone and iPad


1.    Navigate to the home screen.

2.    And launch the 'Settings.'

3.    Open 'Screen Time.'

4.    Go to 'Content & Privacy Restrictions' from the bottom.

5.    Create a four-digit passcode for Screen Time.

6.    Re-enter the passcode to confirm, when asked.

7.    Enable (green) the 'Content & Privacy' switch, if it is disabled (grey).

8.    Go to 'iTunes & App Store Purchases.'

9.    Tap on 'Installing Apps.'

10.    And select 'Don't Allow.'


That's it! The ability to install apps and games will be blocked.


How to disable the ability to delete apps and games on your iOS 11 or older iPhone and iPad
