3. Pair it up with Alexa or Assistant
A majority or smart locks are compatible with digital assistants. And you can give voice commands for unlocking and locking them. Certain brands are compatible with either Alexa or Assistant, while others are compatible with both. You may need to buy an additional accessory to be able to give voice commands.
4. Get alerts
Getting notifications about activities concerning the smart lock is essential for finding out what is going on when you are away. The modern smart locks alert the users whenever the doors get locked and unlocked. These alerts are issued in the form of phone notifications. Even if the door has been left ajar, the user will get notified.
5. Invest in a separate hub Even though several smart locks are capable of connecting the mobile devices to provide the user information from a distance, certain smart locks require a different hub for making it possible.
