Cleaning your kitchen utensils made of steel is easy but you should know the proper & right techniques to clean your serving ware and pricey cutlery.

It may be that you are fond of kitchen décor items and serving ware and your kitchen cupboard has an extensive collection of tableware, serve ware, cutlery, but you do not know how to clean them properly and use them for the next coming celebration. Need more kitchen décor items? You can buy kitchen décor items in India or any country at great prices.

Let’s move to the cleaning tips and tricks:

1. To protect glass and bone-china from cracking or breaking during washing, use a plastic dishpan or rubber sink mat. You can also fill the bottom of the sink with a towel.

2. Do not wash antique serving ware, hand-painted, gold- or silver-trimmed, and delicate dinnerware in the dishwasher. Metal-trimmed tableware should also not be soaked in soapy water for a long time; because this will damage the trim.

3. Be sure to wash gold-plated flatware by hand and buff to enhance the shine, luster and prevent water stains.

4. Sterling-silver and silver-plate tableware can be safely washed in the dishwasher, but if you wash them by hand, you do not need to polish them frequently.

5. Rinse off the salt and acidic food flatware with water as soon as possible to avoid stains.

6. To clean silverware, make a paste of cornstarch and water and apply it to tarnished silverware. Allow it to dry for a few minutes, later wipe it with a dry cloth.

7. Store silverware in bags, boxes, or cases made with anti-rust cloth or special tarnish-resistant cloth. You can also place 1 or 2 pieces of white chalk in your silverware cases to prevent tarnishing.

8. To clean glassware, use a soft brush to remove dirt from the crevices. Rub with a cut lemon or wash with vinegar solution to remove stains.

9.  Let the glassware drip-dry upside down, or wipe it with a soft cloth.
