How Do I Find My Niche? A question which many newbie marketers are asking or searching solution for!

To be true with you, Finding a Niche is the toughest part in Affiliate Marketing as everything depends upon choosing Niche which can make you earn money from your website!

Before we Learn How Do I Find My Niche? Better learn What is a Niche?

What is a Niche and Niche Market?

Niche: In simplest word, Niche is nothing more then your passion, interest or it could be hobby. This is what you like doing.

Niche Market: Niche Market is a place where people share common interest. Where people buy things.

Ok, Lets see what Wikipedia has to say about Niche Market

niche market is the subset of the market on which a specific product is focusing; therefore the market niche defines the specific product features aimed at satisfying specific market needs, as well as the price range, production quality and the demographics that is intended to impact.

You know when people jump into Affiliate Marketing, "How to Find a Niche" is the first question that strike their mind.

Success in Internet Marketing will be largely dependent on what niche you promote. If you are a beginner at the internet marketing game then finding the niche that you should use is the all important first step that will determine your fate.

Find a Niche, anything but better to chose the one you are interested in or something you are passionate about. This could be your hobby or anything you ever wanted to learn about.

How to Find a Niche approach have three requirements for a perfect niche market:

1. high demand

2. zero competition

3. Infinite Profit Potential

And since it is impossible to get the perfect niche, getting one that is almost perfect will do just fine. The happy medium between the three requirements will give you the right niche that you are looking for.

Demand – You need to make sure that you choose a niche market that is a popular

search topic in search engines. There is no sense in using a niche that no one finds interesting; do your research and find out the popular niche markets and try your hand at those.

Competition – Just because a niche market is popular is not a guarantee that you will make money from it; keep in mind that the more popular a niche market, the greater number of people who would like a piece of it. You need to find the right balance of popularity and number of competition for you to make a decent profit.

Potential for Profit – If you are planning on working hard to promote a niche market, you need to find out if doing so will be highly profitable. No one wants to work for peanuts so you need to make sure that people are actually willing to part with their money for the kind of information that you are supplying. An easy way to determine if there is a potential for profit in a certain niche is to check the number of ads in your prospective competitor's websites, if there are lots of them then it means that the niche is highly profitable.

Apart from the three above mentioned approach to how to find a niche, there are few more factors you can consider. As Said above, find a niche which interest you more. Use your Areas of Experience, Expertise and Interest.

Experience: We have all worked somewhere before coming to learn Affiliate Marketing. We have some past experiences of working. That can be your Niche .. Explore your experience and try to find a Niche in that.

Expertise: Think about your expertise. Which are the things you can do easily. You must be perfect in something.. Just think about that and that can be your Niche.

Interest: Obviously, already said this .. but again, chose something which interests you more. It can be anything or it can be one of your hobbies.

For e.g.

1. Cycling,

2. Traveling,

3. weight loss,

4. computer repair,

5. software development,

6. Learning Piano,

7. Golf

8. Repairing PS3

It can be anything you can write about. Remember, The above mentioned are just root keywords. You need to explore these more to find a right Niche for you.

Finding the right balance is the key to internet marketing success. If you are the gambling type of person you can take a stab at using a popular niche with lots of competition or at a niche that is not that popular but the competition is virtually non-existent, both choices have the potential of making money, albeit a very minute possibility. If you are a beginner at niche marketing taking such huge risks as these is foolish so it is better off that you play it safe and just go with a well-balanced niche market.

Thanks for sharing this, Shaishav - it does say much about how to not only choose an avenue or venture to work and earn online through Niche Marketing, it brings it home for many about where our voices are, and our ability to reach various audiences with, preferably, our interests.
That demand + competition thing...it's the crux for many marketers, I think, since, yeah, our passions make a difference! Then, our potential to earn increases depending on our own intensity.
Cool presentation, AND link, thanks!

Zero competition would probably mean zero people interested in buying that product, in my opinion.
