How Can I Do Tally Integration

Tally provides three APIs which you can use to incorporate and facilitate read/write capabilities. The three APIs accessible are:

All three APIs offer seamless integration between databases and applications in offline and online mode, but it's important that you know that's the best match for what you need accomplished, and why.

XML Strategy

Utilize XML if you would like to exchange information with external systems. It's the most widely used and most recommended way of integration.

Supports read and write capabilities.
Has support for web services.
Defines the set of guidelines for encoding documents in a format that's readable by both humans and software.
Emphasizes simplicity and endurance across systems.
With XML, Tally can speak at any environment capable of sending and receiving XML requests and responses over HTTP.
ODBC Approach

Use ODBC if you want to access data from any program, irrespective of the database management system (DBMS).

Only supports read performance.

TDL Approach

Use TDL if your requirements are complex and need code-level changes such as improving or altering default behavior, user interface modifications, document printouts, reports, added information components and functionalities, and business logic.

To integrate Tally via TDL, you'll want skilled resources, since the terminology can be hard to learn due to its unique syntax.

Supports read and write functionality.
Using TDL, your development team can export information, format and build an XML structure, and push it into Tally.
They can query any report to get data in XML and pull information to other applications.
