Hoops Making a Return This Year

by Angelina Gertz Certified Diamonds
Celebrities are bringing back hoops to fashion once again. The first time these spectacularly versatile pieces came up in the market, it was the 1990s, if my memory serves me well. Back then, these large rings became so widely popular that almost every woman had a pair of their own. Then after a few years, the popularity died down as more new and interesting jewelry continued to distract the crowd’s attention. Very recently, these hoops have come back to the forefront, this time with a lot of variety to entice the buyers. If you don’t already have a pair of reliable hoops, now is the best time to buy yourself a pair.

Hoops when they came back brought with them an interesting galore of variety. Although the modern hoops retain the size and built of the former version, a lot of new ideas have been introduced in the designing. The former hoops were plain oversized rings with push backs. Today’s hoops feature details, gems, enamels and what not.

Plain Hoops

Of the many types that are sold in the market, the classic gold hoops are still the most popular. This time around, the plain hoops are thicker in diameter than the previous models. That gives them some weight and mass. That makes these hoops more noticeable than others. There is still no match for these gold vintage-style hoops.

Knotted Hoops

The knotty hoops are vintage hoops with a spin. Made of gold, these pieces feature a little loopy detail at the front. So, even though the hoops start and end in the same way as any traditional hoop earrings, these ones feature a little interruption in the middle. Sometimes, designers like to introduce a little design in between to make it a little visually interesting. Knotted hoops are great workwear pieces.

Gem-studded Hoops

If you are looking for something a little more elaborate, then hoops have just what you may like. First time ever, the designers have brought to the world an exquisite collection of gem-studded hoops. The rings of these hoops are flatter and in them sit a string of gemstones. Some shimmer with white diamonds while others are warm and vibrant with multi-colored stones. There are some hoops that are designed with culet-side up gems. Surprisingly how a little diversion can make something so enormously different!

So which one of these speaks to your style better than all others?
