Hello! I am Sarah James and this is my company "Sarah James Jazz Merch". I am getting out there more with designs and products geared to bring fun, art, and beauty into the products we use every day. My idea for this product developed over these times of tumultuous political upheavals caused by the relentless attacks on women all over the world that have recently surfaced. A US president overheard and on tape denigrating women, the Taliban gaining control over women in Afghanistan denying them work and education, the gang rapes and acid throwing incidents in India.

Tara is the Tibetan Mother Goddess known for her compassionate wisdom and I thought it would be of value to put her image out there more in Western culture to support and project spiritual images that are powerfully feminine to give attention to the rise of feminine consciousness in the West.

This duffle bag image is a sacred image of Tibetan Culture. The Goddess Tara image is in many texts and art created in Tibet. The idea also came in response the the "Me Too" movement and has been brewing for over a year. It took 2 people to launch this idea. I had the image in my house hanging on my wall. I look at it every day! I took the photo and did the art direction.

This has been great fun for me. I take a lot of photos of graffiti, nature, and NYC street scenes, and working with this image I hope will bring some great energy to everyone who carries one. I have one myself and I love it!! I am working on a long sleeve tee and a mug with this same image so stay tuned! They should be ready for Spring '22 release.

The duffle bag product was created in response to the needs of gym enthusiasts, travelers, and anyone who needs to move their gear from one place to another with style and consciousness.

I am relatively new to the niche lifestyle market, but I am very excited to share my creations with like-minded souls. The products and designs are a direct response to the restrictions placed on performers during covid and the need to expand my art, photography, and music.

Not being able to get out, perform, do gigs and make music was enough of an impetus to get me going on this new venture.

The merch line was created in 2019 and expanded at the beginning of the pandemic to keep the creative juices flowing. With no real prior experience in the "Lifestyle" niche marketing world, I decided to go ahead and start with my ideas to keep my brand synched Iwith my music I started calling it "Sarah James Jazz Merch". The first designs were created in 2019 and more merch will be continuing throughout 2022 and into 2023 and beyond.
