The third option is to acquire real estate older than 30 years old located in an urban rehabilitation area. The minimum required amount for such property is €350,000. The renovation costs are included in this amount as well. Finally, if such a property is located in a low-density area in Portugal, the minimum required amount drops to €280,000.

Fund Subscription

A Fund subscription entails a minimum of €500,000 investment in a qualifying Portuguese fund.

Capital Transfer

Capital transfer entails a minimum of €1,5 million to Portugal.

Company

This option entails the creation of a minimum of 10 new full-time jobs in a Portuguese business. You must own the business by yourself.

 

You can also create a minimum of eight new full-time jobs in a Portuguese business if it’s formed in a low-density area.

 

Another option is to invest a minimum of €500,000 in an existing Portuguese business. In this case, the incorporated business needs to create a minimum of five new full-time jobs for at least three years.
