Engineered Plastic Components Acquires Injection Molder Alladin Plastics

Alladin has toolmaking, molding, painting and gas-assist molding in Surgoinsville, Tenn. Its product line integrated a range of housewares, with cups, bowls ascwell as kitchen utensils.
In a news release, EPC owner and CEO Reza Kargarzadeh said that he expects to increase the operations in Tennessee, providing the company the skill to offer a varied customer base with a range of products.
The Alladin purchase comes after a series of other purchases in 2011: UFE Inc.’s operations in Wisconsin, the assets of Action Products Inc. in Missouri and Injectech Industries Inc. in Michigan and the blow molding assets as well as operations of JCIM LLC in Michigan and Kentucky.
Furthermore, EPC now takes in 14 operations in North America with customers in the auto, appliance, medical as well as consumer products industries.
Kargarzadeh said that the company will carry on appraising potential acquisitions in 2012 as strategic opportunities arise and customers seek the company’s presence in new locations.
