Crash diets are not a solution to your health woes, and are definitely something that should not be encouraged in the least. There are however, many other and healthier options that you can adopt to become the healthiest versions of yourself.

Apart from what our dietician in Delhi has to say about following a proper diet, here are 3 Easy, fruitful and healthy commandments that you ought to follow to lead a healthier life:

1.    Thou Shall Get Enough Sleep: We somehow always end up underestimating the importance that a good night’s (or day’s) sleep plays in our day to day life. You see, the moment your body realizes that it is not getting enough sleep, your immune system too starts getting compromised. It will start becoming so weak that fighting small illnesses like a common cold could also prove to be difficult for the body.

Other than this, less amount of sleep can also affect your mood and cause more mood swings and might also lead to anxiety and depression. So try to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep in a day to stay away from these issues.

2.    Thou Shall Move Around: Winter is by far the laziest season of them all and I totally understand the urge to not step out of the house and just stay curled up in that quilt of yours. However, trust me when I tell you that getting up and getting a move on in the weather can have a number of benefits.

Exercising has been known to decrease the chances of one developing either depression or anxiety during the season and our diet consultant in Delhi too agrees with this fact. A mere 150 minutes of exercise in a week is more than enough, and you need not necessarily sweat it out in the gym. You could very well just go for a walk/jog to warm up your body or workout from the comfort of your home itself.

3.    Thou Shall Not Stress: It is easier said than done, I know! In this day and age, when we are super burdened with a ton of things to do, stress has but become a partner in our daily lives. However, there are plenty of positive things that can come out of letting go and not stressing about situations.

Stress can literally impact more than just your emotional health and can end up affecting your physical health adversely too. Blood pressure and blood sugar spikes are a common problem that can arise when you end up stressing out too much. So try to distress and relax and you will truly feel healthier by the end of the day!

I hope that these simple yet effective tips help you get through this year on a healthier note!!
