by Fitfoodies Mantra fitfoodies

Everyone has a list of what needs to be done before they get married! The journey from getting engaged to getting married is a beautiful one, albeit a stressful one too! And one thing that adds to the stress of the time is the need to lose weight before tying the knot! We are right, aren’t we?

No matter how hard the weight loss journey might be, one is ready to go through it just to make sure that they feel and look their best on one of the most important milestones of their lives! But sometimes it happens that taking a decision and being able to go ahead with it prove to be completely different things! There are so many wedding diet meals and pre-wedding weight loss plans out there that it can get quite confusing at times as to what one should follow! So to make things simpler, we have here a list of pre-wedding diet tips that ever bride-to-be needs to go through!

Stay Hydrated

How many times have you read about the importance of water in a weight loss journey? Countless, right? Well, there is obviously a reason for that! Water truly is a miracle worker when it comes to helping one lose weight! Ideally one needs to consume at least 2 liters of water in a day! The best way to do this and this is from personal experience, is when you have a sipper handy with you! Keeping a sipper handy with you throughout the day, somehow reminds you to drink more water when compared to carrying a traditional bottle of water.

But we also understand that drinking water continuously can get quite tiring and downright boring, so how do we improve on that? That is fairly simple! Flavored water! How would you like you water to be flavored with the amazing scent and nutrients of your favorite fruits and herbs eh? No, we are not talking about those flavored drinks available in the market! We are merely talking about making your very own bottle of flavored water at home! Just add fruits like melons, oranges, berries and mint to your sipper or a large bottle of water, and let it sit overnight in the fridge! This will help the water absorb the flavor as well as the nutrients in the fruits and will end up making the water tastier, and something that you can carry with you throughout the day!

Be Realistic

Setting unrealistic goals when it comes to pre-wedding weight loss will only result in weight gain later, even if you do end up losing weight prior to your D Day! Set practical goals; know your limits and what you will be capable of during this dieting stage of yours! Don’t over-stress yourself or spread yourself too thin trying to do multiple things to lose weight!

The simplest of things, in this regard can help you achieve your weight loss goal brilliantly! Things like ensuring that instead of getting takeout, your promise yourself that you will have a home cooked meal, or instead of hitting the gym with vigor continuously for a week and crashing later, you make sure that you exercise over an extended amount of time, even if you are not able to dedicate a whole week at one go to it! Remember, working out 3-4 days a week dedicatedly will prove to be more beneficial for you than a full-on week of working out and then slacking off!

Decrease Time Interval between Meals

No, this does not mean that you eat tons and tons of food with little gap between them, but yes, you will be eating more meals than the regular four square meals a day you have been so used to! Try making a switch to eating every three to four hours. This will ensure that the hunger pangs that usually find space in your tummy between your meals don’t even happen! As a result of this you will also end up not binging on food that shouldn’t be binged on!

The kind of snacks that you indulge in during this time is of the utmost importance however! You cannot be eating things like fries or the likes for obvious reasons! Protein filled snacks are your best bet when it comes to healthy snacking! Things like nuts, seeds, fruits, are your safest and healthiest options! Any snack that is full of protein and fiber make for wonderful mid-lunch or mid-dinner foods and make you feel fuller for an extended amount of time thus making it less likely that you end up binge eating!

So why not give these tips a go then before you get ready to tie that knot? No harm in it, is there? Go ahead and get ready to flaunt your healthiest self on your D Day this year!
