Blue light’s natural source is the sun. This thing is not hidden from anyone that ultraviolet rays from the sun are harmful to the human eyes. That’s why the rays from blue light cause oxidative damage to the eyes.

In today’s modern lifestyle, people love to spend their time in front of the digital screen. According to a survey, 60% of people use digital devices for more than 6 hours a day. Digital screen, electronic devices, and LED lighting are the artificial sources of blue light. Natural filters of human eyes do not offer sufficient protection against these light rays from the sun and artificial sources. Therefore, blue light may generate the age-related macular degeneration, which can lead to loss of vision.

Blue light blocking glasses are designed to shield the eyes from the harmful rays

If you’ve ever suffered from eye strain due to spending more time in front of the digital screen (T.V, Laptops, Computers, mobile phones, etc.), you should wear a pair of blue light blocking glasses to filter out the rays of this light. The pair of these glasses is designed for both outdoors and indoors. With these glasses, you can protect your eyes from harmful rays without sacrificing your style. Many people think that there is no link between blue light exposure and digital eye strain. The pair of frames is also trendy as it is gaining more popularity among youngsters. It is claimed that with these glasses, you can click a cute selfie and fall asleep if you wore it before bed, but not much else.

So, who’s telling the truth? Are blue light lenses useful or not?

Dr. Travis Thompson who is an optometrist with Hardin Valley Eye-care and Optical PLLC in Knoxville said, “Blue light rays are harmful to the eyes” and “People should wear the glasses mostly when they work on the digital screens and electronic devices”. Alyssa Bond, Knoxville student told, “About four month ago, she started to wear a pair of glasses and felt that the dry eyes and headaches she suffered following hours of starting work in front of the screen disappeared. Not only Bond but also many users have verified these blockers’ benefits.

Blue blockers are used to protect eyes from blue light that floods out of electronic devices and digital screens.

Suffering from the symptoms of eye strains? Want to get rid of these symptoms but don’t want to compromise with your fashion style? If yes, a pair of blue light frames is the best pick for you!
