DISNEY PLUS SURPASSES 10 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS ON THE FIRST DAY
by Lucas Smith developerDisney has announced that within the first 24 hours, over 10 million subscribers signed up for Disney Plus streaming services. The company’s new official applications have also been downloaded for more than 3.5 million times, as Apptopia reported. It has already launched on 12 November 2019 in Canada, USA, and the Netherlands.
Disney Plus is a streaming service exclusively packed with Disney’s different content hub that includes Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Even though there are limited shows available on its launch date, several much-awaited spinoff series is in line to be released shortly. Subscribe to the streaming series to enjoy the upcoming Marvel and star wars content.
Original Shows on Launch Day
- The Mandalorian: Live-action Star Wars series “Mandalorian” as a long gunfighter tracks a target in the outer reaches of the galaxy for well-paying clients.
- Marvel’s Hero Project: The series depicts the positive change of numerous young people and forming their elite group to dedicate their skills for selfless acts.
- Forky Asks a Question: Another Pixar animated series of Forky the Toy Story 4 character exploring some questions such as What is time, love, and cheese?
- High School Musical: The musical series follows some students as they break every rule and secretly audition to fulfill their dreams.
- Encore!: Series is all about recreating original performance once again with the group of former mates of a high school together.
Original Movies on First Day
- Lady & The Tramp: Reboot of a 1995 animated classic movie.
- Noelle: Finding Santa Claus’s son Nick as he disappears a week before delivering Christmas present in the movie. Noelle will save the Christmas season by finding him.
Disney’s Content Hub Library Highlights
Pixar will add movies:
- Coco – 19 November 2019
- Toy Story 4 – In early 2020
- Incredibles 2 – July 30, 2020
Star Wars will round out its full library by adding:
- The Last Jedi – 26 December 2019
- Solo – 9 July 2020
- The Rise of Skywalker: In mid of 2020
And Marvel will complete the full catalog by adding:
- Thor Ragnarok – 5 December 2019
- Black Panther – 4 march, 2020
- Avengers: Infinity War – 25 June 2020
- Ant-man and the Wasp – 29 July 2020
First Year Disney Plus Original Shows and Movies
Within its year one, users will have more than ten original movies and 25 original series, documentaries, and more. Upcoming shows and films include:
- The Falcon and The Winter Soldier – To fight against villain Zemo, Sam returned as the new Captain America and joined by the Winter Soldier Bucky. This series will Fall sometime in the first year after Disney Plus launches.
- Star Wars: The Clone Wars – This animated series will exclusively available within the first year on Disney Plus, bringing back character Captain Rex, Anakin Skywalker, plus Ahsoka Tano and more.
- The Phineas and Ferb Movie– The gang of stepbrothers comes back together to rescue Candace from the aliens.
- Timmy Failure: Movie tells the story of a deadpan hero based on the book Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made.
