DiscoveryPoint School of Massage Offers Professional Licensing Program on Therapeutic Massage

Seattle, the school offers classes to students consisting of a broad
spectrum of experiences and learning opportunities helped by a
passionate and seasoned faculty in an inviting and warm ambience. It
offers a 750 Hour Professional Massage Program that is approved by the
Washington State Board of Massage. Tuition is reasonable and students
can apply to the many scholarships available to those who qualify.
The
class schedule begins in the spring of 2017, and Quarter 1 will span
the March 14-May 25 period and Quarter 2 will go from June 6 to August
22. The classes will be held on 3 days of the week, Tuesday, Wednesday,
& Thursday for a span of 5 hours. There will be electives for 30
hours available on a very flexible schedule. The faculty members consist
of Patricia A. Archer, Julie Ann Darrah, Lisa A. Nelson and Michael
Jacobus. They will refine and nurture the clinical skills of students,
including documentation, treatment, client education, assessment, and
communication.
The Professional Licensing Program of the school
is aimed to provide students with the practical skills and knowledge to
design, as well as, implement various effective and safe massage
treatments for different clients. Moreover, the training prepares
students for taking the Washington State Licensing Exam and the National
Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and helps them to
begin their practice as a professional massage therapist.
Students
will get the knowledge to communicate with other medical caregivers and
health care practitioners about the effects, purpose and benefits of
the massage. They can take part in the lively professional massage
community and continue the professional and personal growth all through
their career.
