The Toyota IST is a five-door subcompact car known as the Scion xD and Scion xA in the United States, the Toyota xA in the Middle East, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser in Europe and Latin America. It was considered a premium car with a classy and luxurious style along with its interior spaciousness.

Engine 

The first generation of Toyota IST was equipped with two 4-cylinder engines which fitted with the VVT-i: a 1.3L 2NZ engine delivering a maximum power of 87 HP (64 kW)  at 6000 rpm, with fuel economy of approximately 16 km/L; and a 1.5L 1NZ engine with a maximum power of 81 kW (109 HP) at 6000 rpm, with fuel economy of approximately 23 km/L.

The second generation comes with a 1.5L 1NZ engine generating maximum power of 109 PS (80 kW) at 6,000 rpm; and a 1.8L 2ZR engine with a maximum power of 132 HP (97 kW) at 6,000 rpm, which achieved a fuel economy of approximately 15 km/L. All engines are available in a 4-speed automatic, 5-speed manual, or a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Interior / Exterior

The Toyota IST was built and designed with economic qualities, versatility, and sturdy body structure. It has a good sporty look that makes it more attractive and appealing to the young and the older generations. The exterior design has a wide fender aluminum arch, a large front grille containing 2 thick horizontal bars, large 15-inch steel or alloy wheels tires, and extended wheel arches that gave the car a unique, smooth, and powerful look.
