Comparison between Snow Plowing and Snow Removal

by Michelle C. Motivational Speaker

Is there any difference between snow ploughing and snow removal? All that snow needs to be removed from your parking lot.

Nope. There is a significant difference between these two methods, making them two technically separate processes.

What's the difference between Snow removal near me and snow ploughing? Discover the distinctions between them with me.

Lost on the Meaning of "Per Push"?

If you've researched commercial snow ploughing or removal, you've probably come across the term "per push." This refers to purchasing a snow plough often only includes pushing and removing the snow to a readily accessible area for snow storage.

The snow is moved to the side of the parking lots so staff, customers, and tourists can go about without trudging through it.

If we quote a price of $200 "per push," it indicates that we will clear a path through the snow for passing vehicles and pedestrians.

That's Much Easier to Say than Do

The high volumes of snow that frequently fall on business properties make it difficult for commercial ploughs to turn corners and make turns.

We can't shovel or remove snow from your driveway or other confined areas. Our staff will not load your snow, drive it around the back of your building, make two turns, and then throw it neatly over the curb without damaging your property.

Large loaders can be used to push snow over a curb; however, we cannot be held responsible for any damage to the curbing if this is requested.

It's Time To Load Up And Move On

If there isn't enough room on your property to keep the snow you've shovelled off the sidewalks and driveways, you'll need to remove it from a snow removal service. This is where the concept of "snow removal" comes into play.

That'll run you some extra cash. The cost of snow removal is high. The loader must be big enough to load the snow swiftly, and we need two pieces of equipment. For the loader to avoid idle time, we'll also require multiple trucks to transport snow to its designated storage area.
