Here are two different kinds of color systems, whose usage
depends on what you want to design in online

RGB is the abbreviation of three basic colors, red, green, and blue in this color system. The three basic colors are the three-primary color of light. RGB is used on TV, computer screen and any types of screens.
CMYK is the abbreviation of cyan, carmine, yellow and black.
These colors are primary colors of pigment. CMYK is used to print.
And web design is based on the RGB color system.
2. Wisely
select the color and express the meaning
People often do not agree with the meanings of some special
colors and the special emotion strengthened by the designers. But there is no
doubt that clients have emotional reaction to the color.
When you select the color for your work, please do be discreet
with aim. The color should be suitable for your target audiences and should
express what the clients want you to express, as well as should suitable for
the hope of whole feeling to the users in your website.
Warm color can bring sunshine emotion, and it is wise to use it
if you want to bring happy and cheerful feeling for your website. For example,
when the global economy is not good, yellow became a popular color in wed
design, because the company wanted to bring sunshine and comfortable feeling to
the users.
You’d better to use cold color to express the professional or
neat feeling for your website, so as to show a calm enterprise impression. Cold
color expresses authentic, clear and trustful feeling. For example, calm blue
is often used to the banks’ websites, like Chase Bank. It is not wise to use
cold color to the website with the theme of optimism, because users will gain
wrong impression.
