Clip-on Sunglasses: Convenience Makes all the Difference
by Rich B. Blogger By ProfessionTo be honest, I don’t mind wearing specs. I don’t have a particularly strong prescription, so I don’t keep them on every minute of the day. The pair I have now are comfortable, and a good fit. When I leave the house, I don’t like to be weighed down by a lot of things I may not need. Clip-on sunglasses are small and practical to carry around, so are perfect for this. A new pair of prescription sunglasses would be a bit of an investment – and my prescription could change in just another six months. I would mote likely choose some kind of style that is pretty timeless, like the Aviator of Wayfarer, but still, styles can change as well.
That why I like my clip-ons. They’re easy to use and, since they don’t cost an arm and a leg, I can keep an extra pair in the car. No fumbling for sunglasses, or wondering if I remembered them when I left the house. They are always there when I need them, and if I find myself without them in a certain place more than once, I can just get another pair!
Clip-ons are perfect for sports, too. If I’m out for a run or on my bike I can keep a pair in my pocket. A quick and easy solution to glare. Polaroid clip-ons also come in dark green and copper, and both Oakley and RayBan provide similar models that cost a bit more. Dark green is good for all round use and copper is perfect when I get the chance to go out sailing. Despite what you might think of them and the image they tend to have, clip-ons come in a range of sizes and shapes, so there’s a pair that will fit your glasses.
