In essence, a camera with a telephoto lens has the ability to bring objects far away from the camera. It works the same way as a telescope, pair, or binoculars. One of the SLR camera lenses that vary in price the most, can cost upwards of $100,000 at the higher end of the market. But hobbyists can find it for less than $1,000. They are particularly adept at photographing wildlife and sports factopedia.

Unlike a telephoto lens, a macro SLR lens has the ability to make small, close-up objects appear extraordinarily large.
