Catering for the Holiday Season

by Chris Ingallina Corporate Caterers

The Holidays are fast approaching. For many of us the Holidays are our busiest time of year. Long hours at work followed by holiday parties and family activities keep the weekdays long, and the weekends short. Many of us wish we had some extra help keeping our lives organized! This might seem like merely a Christmas wish, but getting a little help is easier than you think.

One of the easiest ways to recruit help during the holidays is by utilizing a caterer. From home meals, company luncheons and holiday banquets, hiring a caterer can help make your Holiday Season a little less hectic.

The Holidays are known for the long list of Holiday traditions packed into a relatively small amount of time. Family lunches and dinners are often the last thing we think about when planning our time away from the office. Having lunch or dinner delivered from a caterer not only frees up valuable time but can become a tradition in itself. It can also be a lot cheaper and healthier than eating out at a restaurant.

When out and about with the family, Box Lunches are a convenient option. Skip the formal family dinner and bring some Box Lunches on an evening drive to look at Christmas lights. Or take a box lunch on the way to Grandma’s house to break up the monotony of a long drive. Having a winter picnic after finding the perfect Christmas tree is a fun way to spend some time outdoors — just don’t forget the Hot Chocolate!

The most common use for a caterer is Holiday parties. Whether planning a small tree decorating gathering, or a corporate celebration, finding a good caterer is essential. Depending on your budget, a caterer can be used to set up and serve, or just drop off the food and go. Either way, they are invaluable for helping create a gourmet menu, and finding options for those with dietary needs such as Vegan, Vegetarian, or Gluten Free. Ingallina’s Box Lunch, with locations in PhoenixLos AngelesPortland and Seattle, has a variety of options for guests with these needs.

When attending a party, it is customary to bring a hostess gift. When there is no room in your busy schedule to find the perfect hostess gift, find a local caterer to deliver one to your home or office. Many caterers offer beautiful gift baskets and free delivery throughout the holiday season. Take advantage of this service to save your time and allow you to avoid long lines at the shopping mall.

Catering companies can be a useful tool this holiday season. Whether you are planning a family get-together, or holiday Gala, having the meals prepared for you will take a load off your to-do list, and allow you to spend more time making memories with your family and friends.
