Burning Issue Of Rising Crime Rates In Visakhapatnam

by Visaka News News headlines from Visakhapatnam
Crime is an inevitable element of our society. With rising human population, the increasing crime rate across the globe is a matter of concern. There’re a few states in India alone that have witnessed a steep rise in crime rates in comparison to last year. For an instance, the crime rate in Visakhapatnam has drastically increased by 20 to 30% over the preceding year.

You’ll be shocked to hear that in Visakhapatnam, a total of 6227 cases including road accident cases have been registered in the year 2016.  This figure has risen over time. In the year 2014, 5336 cases were reported in Vizag, which was followed by 5204 cases in 2015.

Coming back to the latest figures, as reported by Vizag crime news, 6227 cases comprise of property offences, robberies, money thefts and motor vehicle thefts. In the preceding year, the property offence was reported at 1339. Offences taking place out of properties have risen by approximately 27 percentage in 2016.

According to Vizag crime news, out of the above 6227 cases, 3100 included bodily crimes, white collar offences and many related crimes. Such similar types of cases were accounted for 2583 cases in 2015, whereas the number of cases registered in the last year (2014) was lesser. Within a year, it has risen by 23%. Other cases that contribute to this rising rate are murder, kidnapping, rape as well as scams.

To counteract the Vizag crime, the government has come up with an unique concept of Offers in Vizag.

With the changing time, citizens of Visakhapatnam are now acting without fear. There’s no denying to the fact that crimes have taken a leap in the years. Crime has no particular face. Criminals are not aliens; they are part of the same crowd to which you belong. It is difficult to pinpoint at a specific face or a specific person in the crowd. The rate of crime is pacing at the rate at which our nation is progressing forward. Have you ever given a thought, about how the crime rate can be reduced?

From my point of time, most crimes take place not because of boldness of the criminals but because of the fear of the victims. Imagine, being one of the victims at the bank robbery you read about in the newspaper today, what would you do? Would you give in to the robbers or would you fight with all the might you have? Raising your voice against crime is an option that many won’t prefer to choose. If someone from the crowd had fought against the crime, someone’s money and efforts could have been saved. Isn’t? Crime occurring at micro-level has the potential to affect the whole country in a negative manner. You do not know but a single crime possesses the power to affect many lives simultaneously. To explain it better, let’s take this same example of bank robbery.  What really happened in this situation is that a gang of robbers entered a well-established bank and broke the lockers of the bank. Surprisingly, this took place in presence of several customers and bank staff. This is merely an instance. Similar events have actually occurred in almost every part of our country.
