Bird of Prey’s Brutal Harley Quinn Fight Sequence

Birds of Prey is an American superhero film based on DC comics. It released this year as the eighth installment of the DC Extended Universe and the follow-up of the Suicide Squad movie. This movie focuses on Harley Quinn rather than Joker as she joins forces with Helena Bertinelli, Dinah Lance, and Renee Montoya to save Cassandra from Gotham City’s crime lord Black Mask.

The story of the movie focuses on Harley Quinn after Joker breaks up with her and throws her out on the Gotham City streets. An owner of the Taiwanese restaurant chops her hair and tries to help her get over her relationship by adopting a spotted hyena. Harley Quinn eventually meets the rest of the characters after she is intoxicated and gets saved by Dinah Lance from an attempted abduction. The following night, Harley blows up Ace Chemicals Plant to publicly announce her breakup with Joker. Shortly after this incident, Renee Montoya, The GCPD detective finds out that Harley is in danger without Joker’s protection and she approaches Dinah but gets rejected by her. The movie unravels in a way where all the female characters are fighting the villain nicknamed as Black Mask and his small army of masked criminals collectively known as False Face Society. They were successful in destroying the Sionis’s criminal empire, and every character then moves on to their own lives. Montoya quits the GCPD and joins Dinah and Helena to establish a new team of vigilance called Birds Of Prey. Harley and Cassandra make their way to a new life, after selling the diamond to a Pawn Shop, they begin their journey of contract killing business.

However, this movie turned out to be a disappointment at the box office, but some of the fans seemed to have positive reviews about the film only because of the fighting scenes. With the team consisting of Cassandra Cain, Black Canary, Renee Montoya, The Huntress, and Harley Quinn, the Birds Of Prey was bound to have some fantastic fighting sequences. One of the best fighting scenes was when Harley Quinn collects a stolen diamond from Black Mask. Harley breaks into the GCPD to rescue Cassandra Cain, who has swallowed the diamonds.

Fans can now enjoy one of the fighting scenes in slow motion. Sam Hargrave, an American stuntman, has recently shared a video of this fighting scene with Margot Robbie on his Instagram handle, where he had to flip in the air and land on Robbie’s neck. In the final cut, Harley bounces the bat off the ground before it hits Hargrave on the face. If you look at the slow-motion carefully, you will notice the effects of this sequence. He is not using any wires to perform the stunt, and he landed on his neck, which could cause serious injuries. Watching the fight sequence might not bring any appreciation for the movie, but it will remind people that Hollywood is capable of creating some great fight sequences.

Although the movie ended mid-sentence, there is no surety of the fans will get to see Birds Of Prey 2 and Gotham City Sirens as it movie didn’t do too well for the producers.
