Benefits of Floor Lamps in Homes

by Naveed Iqbal SEO SEO Expert
When you hear the word "lamp", what image do you think of? You probably picture the table lamp on your nightstand, casting some light on your bedtime reading. Or maybe you think of the lamp on the console table in the hallway that greets you just before you enter or leave the house. Or maybe you remember the end table in your recreation room where you set down the glass of your favorite beverage while watching a game or movie on TV.

While table lamps are typically the most common lighting fixtures in our homes, we shouldn't forget about floor lamps. Although they are taller than their table or desk counterparts, floor lamps can offer a variety of benefits that can enhance the decor of any room:

1. sturdiness

Today's floor lamps, such as stained glass Tiffany floor lamps, are much sturdier than brightest floor lamp of the past. For example, in the past, floor lamps were notorious for easily tipping over and posing a fire hazard. Today's floor lamps, on the other hand, must meet what is known as the UL "Tipability Standard," meaning their bases must be heavy enough.

2. full spectrum lighting

This allows the user of the lamp to enjoy the full spectrum of light, including light that the naked human eye cannot perceive, such as infrared light. In particular, this feature provides artists working with various media with a kind of artificial sunlight to show how certain hues will appear in sunlight.

3. attractive styles for any room size and decor.

You probably don't want to pair paisley lampshades with plaid wallpaper. Fortunately, floor lamps, such as contemporary floor lamps and mission style floor lamps, are available in a variety of styles to complement the decor.

Today, themes have become the "in thing" when it comes to creating decor for a particular space. Fortunately, floor lamps range from traditional styles and colors to more modern ones. And with retro models, the old is new again!

4. Perfect as a reading or work lamp.

Table lamps can only illuminate a small area, and often they barely produce enough light for reading, which increases eye fatigue. A floor lamp, on the other hand, provides a wider range of illumination. Whether you're watching TV, working on a puzzle or reading the newspaper, a floor lamp can provide the right amount of light, reducing your energy costs.

5.Adjustable brightness.

While the brightness of many table lamps is limited to "off" and "on", floor lamps usually offer a wider range of brightness. Whether you need just a little light for reading or more light for your kids' board game, a floor lamp usually offers a variety of brightness settings.

6.Less eye fatigue and glare.

Many households still use fluorescent lights in their various rooms. Their eyes unconsciously pick up the flickering of such lights, leading to increased eye fatigue and glare. While the light from a table lamp radiates outward, the light from a floor lamp radiates downward. This creates a wider light area, which is helpful for any activity.
