Injuries are like medals in the life of a sportsperson but at times these injuries can be fatal if left attended. Often we talk about the cure but today let’s talk about prevention and protection which is possible even in case of athletes. Here we bring smart tips that will help not only in avoiding injuries but will also save your time spent on Physiotherapy Recovery for Broken Bones:

Train your body consciously: It is important to understand that body conditioning is important. Switching from routine to another in a blink is not a healthy way of treating your body. So rather than over exerting in the beginning, take small steps towards protection. Ask your coach to design a fitness regimen that will help you to build stamina, so it won’t strain you and shock your body.

Stick to the system: Every game has set of rules and regulations to follow and they are for a reason. Seldom in flow or in competition, one becomes aggressive which leads to breaking of rules and leads to accidents during the game. So stick to the system.

Technique matters: Whether you are going for a run or playing cricket or basket ball or even training in the gym there is a technique which you must follow. There are many cases where a person was doing everything right but got a ligament rupture or had suffered from joint dislocation because of extra weight or more repetitions than required.

Equip yourself with good quality products: Every game has a costume to wear including gloves, helmet, gears, knee pads, etc. Wearing proper attire will shield you from the attacks and keep you from getting injured.

Warm up is essential: Don’t just start working out or running on the field without warming up your body. While the body is at rest, it gets a sudden jolt when you start working out without warming up. Stretch your body, twist and turn then start working out.

Take Breaks: Do not over exert yourself. Rather than working out or training every day take a Sunday off or weekend off to give rest to your body. Often athletes suffer from back pain and one of the reasons behind it is over training. If the pain does not subside in a week then it is suggested to go for physiotherapy treatment for back pain.

Cooling down is mandatory: Just like warm up is important so is cooling down. It will help you to relax the muscles and controls the heart beat. It will reduce the risk of muscle spasms, ligament rupture and regulates breathing.

Don’t be aggressive: While going for a tournament or going for a game is a good thing but there is no point losing your focus and playing the game aggressively. It will not only lead to spats and breaking of rules but there is also the risk of injury or wounds during the game.

Talk to your Therapist: If in case you feel the pain or numbness in any part of the body, do not ignore the pain and talk to your therapist. He will help you to resolve the small issues like sprains and muscle tear so that you do not have to suffer from bigger issues.

Follow Post Therapy Routine: If your therapist has advised rest or break from the training for some time, it will help you recover from the injury. Post injury work out as advised by the physiotherapy should be followed strictly and do not over exert.

Follow these simple tricks to live a healthy life and enjoy training.
