by Therapy Works Chronic Pain Clinic

Different people define wellness in different ways. For some, it is about weight management and getting enough calories and exercise. Others view it as a mental state where they are happy with their lives and careers.

There are many things that you can do to achieve an overall good feeling about your life and yourself, but these trends may help you get there:

1. Yoga

Yoga is a form of exercise that involves moving mindfully through a series of postures, breathing techniques and meditation.

Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that consists of physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation aimed at improving endurance and flexibility.

2. Visiting a chiropractor

A chiropractor is a healthcare practitioner who examines and addresses spine-related issues.

It is designed to provide relief from chronic pain due to neck, shoulder, and lower back injuries. To do so, they will use a variety of techniques such as manipulations, manual therapy (massage), and rehabilitative exercises.

3. Pilates

Pilates is a series of exercises, most of them involving matwork, that emphasise the connection between body and mind.

According to Pilates Central, pilates is a form of exercise created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. Pilates exercises are typically practised on a mat on the floor, with one's shoeless feet facing towards each other. The focus is on using core strength to build flexibility and improve balance.

The goal of Pilate’s programme was to rehabilitate people suffering from chronic illnesses or debilitating diseases by teaching them how to work out safely with appropriate exercise equipment and to mobilise their joints and limbs without pain or injury.

You might be wondering why people would want to try wellness trends. Well, if you are interested in wellness, you should know that there are many benefits to be had.
