An Urgent Coronavirus Appeal from Help A Child Project

The world is very different right now. COVID-19 is sweeping around the world. It spreads easily and there is no cure and no vaccine. Until our scientists and researchers find a way to slow this thing down, it is our job to keep ourselves safe. Our families safe. Our communities safe. The world safe. It seems to be easy to do right? Stay away from each other, wash our hands a lot with soap, wear a mask when we have to go out. But what if you live in overcrowded situations. Have to take public transport to work. Have no income. Cannot buy masks or soap. Have no running water. It is for these vulnerable and at-risk children and people that we are sending out this urgent Coronavirus Appeal.

The fear we are feeling is real. But fear cannot be allowed to take control. Gifting to our appeal is the humane thing to do. It will make a difference. The US has reached a staggering 2 million cases. That is just cases that been reported. The highest loss of life has also happened in the US with over 113,000 deaths. In Africa, it took just 2 and a half weeks to move from 100,000 cases to 200,000. Brazil has over 800,000 cases and more than 40,000 deaths. Russia just went over the 500,000 mark. Families and communities everywhere are in desperate need. For health supplies, for support, for help protecting their children.
