by Abhinav K. Digital Marketing Expert, Freelance

In the mountainous hideousness of Utttarakhand, lies Almora at a distance of about 360 kilometres from Delhi, the capital city which takes about 10-12 hours of enriching exciting journey. As you near the swift turnings at the side of the cliffs, one can feel the chilling breeze whistle down his ear and making him shriek a bit. But upon reaching the city, the breath-taking panoramic view of Himalayas, summons the travellers to its alluring grandeur of natural beauty. Famous for its rich cultural heritage, unique handicrafts, sumptuous and mouth-watering cuisines and magnificent landscapes, Almora is a promisingly fun filled and unforgettable journey to set out on.

The Hill station is well-reputed for its rejuvenating climate and has been a cultural and political region of Kumaun, with the late influence of the British rule, in perfect jinx with the culture preserved perfect.

Once a traveller is on foot, there seems to be a lot to explore in around the city of Almora. A day excursions does not seems enough to explore the city in all. However the tourist attractions can be found no farther than the city itself, which is a plus point to roam around. Chitai temple with its unique collection of brass bells of all sizes which are gifted to the temple by devotees since centuries, Kasar Devi where Europeans tourists can be found head over heels for the place almost settling down for years, Nanda Devi Temple which has been the most famous temple all over being its sisters’ Naina Devi Temple in Nainital, the   centre epitome of the cultural and religious heritage of Almora.

If you’re not the kind who likes visiting temples or any kind that of religious importance, you can roam around the streets of the Lala Bazar where you can find almost anything that you would find them in the showrooms in a metro cities, except the stilettos (forget them for gods ‘sake) which would be useless in the rough roads of the hills. And if you feel not doing that too, You can walk down to SSJ campus ground to catch a glimpse of the hills ahead and the little canopy huts along with the terraced farmlands or walk down the Dharanaula road and watch people parachuting far ahead from the hill ahead and admire the natural beauty.

And even after the whole day of roaming around, one does not feel enough tired, rather more energetic down his feet waiting the sun to rise again in the east so to set out for the exploration once again.

There would be no. places about which we have just heard and don’t know how special they are. Finishproblems.com is one such source which can help one to know about such destinations.
