Specific provisions regarding the use of scaffolding.

Scaffolding should be projected, assembled and maintained conveniently so as to prevent them from being accidentally displaced or moved.

Work platforms, walkways and scaffolding ladders must be constructed, sized, protected and used in a way that prevents people from falling or being exposed to falling objects.

For this purpose, its measures will be adjusted to the number of workers who will use them.

When the calculation note of the chosen scaffold is not available, or when the planned structural configurations are not contemplated therein, a strength and stability calculation must be carried out, unless the scaffold is mounted according to a generally recognized type configuration.

Depending on the complexity of the scaffolding chosen, an assembly, use and disassembly plan must be developed.

This plan and the calculation referred to in the previous section must be carried out by a person with a university education that enables him to carry out these activities.

This plan may take the form of a generalized application plan, complete with elements corresponding to the specific details of the scaffolding in question.

For the purposes of the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the assembly, use and disassembly plan will be mandatory in the following types of scaffolding: Suspended platforms of variable level (manually operated or motorized), temporarily installed on a building or a structure for specific tasks, and mast lifting platforms.

Scaffolding constituted with prefabricated elements supported on natural terrain, concrete slabs, floors, overhangs or other elements whose height, from the lower level of support to the crowning of the scaffolding, exceeds six meters or has horizontal elements that save flights and distances upper between supports of more than eight meters.

Trestle or borriquetas scaffolds are excepted.

Scaffolding installed outside, on roofs, domes, roofs or upper structures whose distance between the level of support and the level of the ground or soil exceeds 24 meters high.
