Adam Clarke on Increasing Tech Innovation in a Company

by MC P. Marketing

The goal of any company is to improve its tech innovation output, and it's doable with the right mindset. In this article, gain some insights  into ramping up your firm’s tech production straight out of the handbook of Macropay’s Adam Clarke.

Organisational Leadership in tech

One of the most persistent myths about becoming a tech leader is that you need to have an “assigned” role and slowly rise through ranks, taking on leadership responsibilities. However every journey isn't created equal - some people start at lower positions with less experience than others before they can achieve their dreams of being in charge!

If you want your team to succeed, then it's time for tech leadership! Tech leaders are responsible for developing a vision of what future state should look like and helping others get there. They aren't about micromanaging details or doing everything themselves; rather their goal is guiding and building processes so that projects can meet company standards on a timeline.

Productivity as Key to Tech Innovation

There are a lot of ways to boost your productivity, but not all will work for every company. However, here are a few universal ways to keep your tech team productive and increase the tech output.

Tech Developer’s “Flow” State

Programmers are in their flow when they're completely focused on what needs to be done. It's at this point that most of the work gets completed, which is why it makes them so successful!

When in the flow state, it can be hard to worry about anything other than what your hands are doing and your mind is focused on. But did you also realize that there's a key role managers play when developers need their brains focused on the task? Promoting focus and creating an environment free from distractions is one of the primary duties of tech leader.

“Sprint” Working

Working in smaller, more frequent intervals is the key to productivity. This approach has you making your work efficient by breaking down larger projects into smaller pieces that can be completed within a certain time frame and then combined together at some later point when they're ready- allowing greater gains than if worked on individually all throughout development!

With this system, it's easy for everyone on the team to see where they stand. If one person is behind or ahead of schedule then their counterparts can tell immediately because all progress will be charted! This promotes collaboration since no matter what stage someone might be at, everyone is on the same page.
