A Brief about air handling systems

by Sanjeev Yadav SEO Consultant
Air handlers are used in the heating or air-conditioning systems to handle the circulation of air through them. Basically, the air handling is done through the AHU or specially designed air handling units. It is designed in a big metal box where all the components of a handling system are placed accordingly. These include heating elements, cooling elements, dampers, chambers, sound attenuators, etc. All of the components are placed in such a way so that they can form a circuit through the AHU. Now, when the air is conditioned through the system, it is ready to move through the circuit.
The mechanism behind an air handling system…
For the safety purpose, metal panels are used in the production of the air handlers. The simplest manufacturing includes a single skin metal panel for the framing system.
To offer a better longevity to the framing system, galvanization method is applied for it. Some special arrangements are also made for the outdoor applications. A waterproofing lid is attached to the framing system. Apart from that, the joints are extra secured with some added sealing works.
The double skinned framing of steel is offered to the huge air handlers. The shielded panels are employed for an improved security. It also controls the extra heat gain or loss during the working of the air handling systems. These features offer great strength and longevity to the larger air handlers.
Elements of an air handling system
·    Cooling or heating elements
As the name suggests, they are responsible for the exchange of heat through the system. They manage the air flow with a controlled temperature. Besides that, they also maintain the humidity level in the corresponding locality.

·    Filters
It offers clean (hot or cold) air to the inhabitants.
·    Mixing chamber
Its main purpose of use is to maintain the quality of the indoor air using dampers.
·    Humidifier
It is to control the humidity level of the air in every season. Example- evaporative, spray mist, vaporizer, ultrasonic, etc.
·    Blower
The use of blowers is made to circulate the air in multiple directions. An electric motor is assigned to help its working.
·    Vibration isolators
It controls the vibration in the building due to the use of the air handling systems.
·    Heat recovery device
It increases the capacity of the air handlers.
