1 Try to build a good relationship with a patient

We need to focus first on building relationships with our patients, it is up to us how we are dealing with our patient to make them comfortable first, to be polite, be friendly, understand their problem so that patient can easily share their problems without any fear or nervousness. Build your trust by giving good medical services, give them a good treatment on time. 

 After a first meeting, you can engage through communication via the patient portal. By using the patient portal patient can schedule their appointments, check their reports and medical condition from time to time. This way you can provide care between visits and build relationship and trust with your patient. 

2 Efficiently maintain a patient record 

When we come to the point on patient record it's little tough nowadays. 

There are some places where doctors are making a handwritten record of the patient in today's generation. Yes we can write easily and give them to the patient directly but in that situation, we don't have the proper record of that patient because there are a lot of files in our clinics. It is difficult to remember every file, every past medical situation so without wasting this much of time we can make a record on EHR (Electronic health record). It will take 1 minute more to create a record of the patient that will be saved in the system permanently and there is no need to carry files with you. It will decrease the wastage of papers as well and also we can check their record in seconds by typing their name only, so its that easy. There are a lot more benefits of EHR like it will avoid medical errors in accurately accessing patient medical information, and it will be the easiest way to make the record with you of every patient without facing these kinds of problems. 

3 Improve patient flow with an efficient schedule 

In today's generation, everybody is using the internet, even most of the works are done online like ordering food, book a cab, etc. so we can use our internet in scheduling as well. when we go to the hospitals directly we need to face rush, stand in the queue to make an appointment, wait for our time. so it is very difficult for doctors, staff and obviously for patients as well who are suffering from some problems. and also doctors cant take care of their patients properly. No one can do proper work in a rush. By using EHR we can take an appointment online and meet with the doctors directly without facing such kinds of problems. 

It will improve the patient flow and there is a proper schedule for every patient in which they can get the good medical service at an appropriate time. 

4 Organise your office for efficiency 

This is the main problem patients face because some of the hospitals are not organised very well. We have to focus on small things that make a huge difference, such as we need to give a good parking service so it will be easy for them to park their vehicles in a safe place, make your reception area larger and give some extra space for the paperwork of patients so they can use it with a very calm mind and complete their formalities without facing any problem, make sure you have some extra emergency ward all the time and have some extra staff so that they can resolve the problems of patients and their families too without wasting time to rush here and there for asking something important. (Its always better to be safe than sorry).

5 Get customer feedback 


This is the most important aspect for improving your practice management. If we are not taking any feedback from our patients then how do we get to know that they are liking our services and medical treatments or not. If we get feedback from them by sending out customer satisfaction questionnaires, it will be easy for us to improve our things as soon as possible and it will be good for our new patients as well. Getting customer reviews and posting them online is also useful for new patients to know about the clinic and its services, staff, and everything. So reviews are the way by which they know better about the place they are going.
