When you think you need a scrubber dryer for your business, the first thing is understanding what you need.

Here’s how you get started.

Check The Squeegees

Have a look at the squeegees first. Take the squeegee bar off the machine. If possible and ensure it is clean, if not clean it out.

Check the blades. You must have a flat on the top of the blade. Also, replace them if needed. You can’t get a good result with worn, ripped or dirty blades.

Check The Squeegee Hose

Check the hose or pipe that connects the squeegee bar with the recovery tank. If this looks dirty or blocked inside, just take it off and clean out by running warm water through until it’s clear. Refit the hose.

Check The Recovery Tank Filter

Open the recovery tank and find the filter, if there’s one. In such a case, it will be on the outlet to the vacuum motor. Also, there may be a small ball inside the filter cage.

Ensure this filter is really clean. If not, just remove, clean and refit. 

Observe The Solution Filter

Find the solution filter, most machines have them. It is likely to be underneath the machine inside a plastic bowl. Some of the scrubber dryers Ireland may require you to remove the filter to train the solution tank, so make sure you take the machine outside first.

If the filter is in a bowl underneath, turn off the solution tap and unscrew the bowl, remove the filter.

Once you have removed the filter, clean in under warm running water. Also, clean even if the filter looks clean. 

Check The Battery Levels

This doesn’t apply if the scrubber dryer doesn’t have batteries. It also doesn’t apply if the batteries are maintenance-free, however, if they are wet batteries with top-up caps, it’s important.
