3 Ways to Renovate Your Bathroom
by Kevin Smith AuthorLately, you’ve been looking at your bathroom thinking that you need a change. All of the original fixtures and features are still in place, and they are starting to look a little ragged. You have created a budget, and you know that there are some things that you definitely want to change, but you aren’t sure where to begin.
If you are ready to renovate your bathroom, check out these three places you can start.
1. Bathtub Shower Combo
If your current bathroom only has a shower stall for you, it might be time to upgrade with a bathtub shower combo. Many people who only have showers think that they won’t have enough room to install a bathtub, but there are many new styles that could allow you to fit a sitting bathtub in the space that you currently have. Consider researching a great place that has many different styles of bathtubs before you exclude the idea from your renovation plan.
2. Water Fixtures
Over time, the water fixtures in your bathroom can start to fade and look rather dull. No matter how much you wash them, they don’t seem to get better. Additionally, if you have hard water, you may notice buildup on and around your water fixtures. This buildup can start to erode your fixtures and make them look even older and duller. Replacing your bathroom’s water fixtures is a great place to start your renovations.
3. Flooring
Changing the flooring in any room of your house can change the look and feel of the entire room. Additionally, it can even make the room look bigger, if you choose the right color and material. Consider changing the color of your bathroom floors to a darker color that accents your cabinets rather than matches it. Also, if you are looking to save a little bit of money, consider replacing your bathroom floors with linoleum instead of tile. This can save you quite a bit of money in the long run during your renovations.
If you are ready to renovate your bathroom, you may have a few ideas in mind. Once you have the theme and color scheme picked out, consider installing a bathtub shower combo, changing the water fixtures, and replacing the flooring. These are all great ways to get your bathroom looking and feeling brand new.
