Enjoying The Haunted Phoenix Area

by Russ Lyonsotheby
Some of the most popular shows on television right now are shows about the supernatural. These shows are all about individuals who are trying to prove that ghosts are real, and there are even shows that showcase teenagers or young adults who are using their psychic powers to connect with the dead. Aside from vampire stories and shows, ghosts are the hottest things out there, so why shouldn’t you enjoy a little bit of ghostly fun as well? Fortunately, Phoenix real estate, offers a number of places where you can go to get your ghoulish fun on.

There are a few places that you can enjoy in Phoenix that have haunting stories attached to them. Ask around and you’ll find a few people who will be able to tell you about the haunting that they have experienced or that they have heard of, and you can head to those places yourself to see if you see or feel anything. Or, if you’d rather, you can go just outside of town to some of the more deserted places, where you’re almost guaranteed to get a fright.

Take, for instance, the Phoenix Theatre. It’s supposed to be home to five different ghosts. One is even rumored to be a mean-spirited actor who was once fired from a production. The Hotel San Carlos is also rumored to be haunted. Many suggest they’ve heard the sounds of children playing or doors banging unexpectedly. The story draws its roots back to the early days when the building was a school and two boys were tragically killed inside.

Just outside of Phoenix is Bisbee. It is a place where copper mines were some of the most profitable ways to get rich, and now you can find a large number of artists who make their homes there. But what you’re going to Bisbee for isn’t the copper, but rather the Copper Queen Hotel. This hotel is believed to be haunted by a young woman who was to be married. Her lover, however, jilted her, and they say now that she haunts the hotel, forever waiting for her lover to return.

The fourth largest city in Arizona is Jerome, and it, too, is a short drive from Phoenix. It became a ghost town in 1953 when the mines were all closed down. As with Bisbee, you’ll find a number of artists making their homes in Jerome, but there are a large number of places that are supposedly haunted. One of those places is the Jerome Grand Hotel. This hotel used to be a hospital, and there’s no telling how many people died in the building, which may be why there are so many stories of scary things happening in the building. Or who knows, you may know someone who owns Phoenix houses that are haunted as well!
